October 31st—marks the witch's new year and the beginning of winter, the dark half of the year. The veil between worlds thins as nature shows us what we sometimes forget: letting go is powerful, rest is necessary, and transformation happens in the quiet and the dark. This is the season for transformation, ancestor work, divination, shadow work, deep reflection, and releasing what no longer serves us.
Just like the trees shedding their leaves, we too can let go and make space for new growth. The dark half of the year isn't something to fear—it's where the real magick happens.

I grew up in the Ozarks of Arkansas, found deeper magic in the mountains of Idaho, and now call Appalachia home. Three mountain communities, each rooted in the land and folk magic traditions, - all teaching us that real magic comes from honoring the earth beneath your feet, the moon above your head, and the communities you call home.
These aren't mass-produced products with witchy labels.
